In Palashbari, Gaibandha, an elderly man used a microphone to announce a fight with his younger brother. On Thursday afternoon, Kaddus Mia rode a rickshaw through the village, informing residents that he would confront his brother Habijar after Friday prayers.
Locals say the dispute over betel leaf plantation land between the brothers has been ongoing for years. The video of the announcement quickly went viral on social media.
The Palashbari police, led by Officer-in-Charge Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, mediated between the brothers at the station. Kaddus Mia admitted his mistake.
