Residents and businesses in several areas of Narayanganj are expected to face a temporary gas supply disruption today, Wednesday, 21 January, as Titas Gas undertakes urgent maintenance work on its network. The outage will last for a total of five hours, affecting both domestic and commercial consumers.
According to a recent notice issued by Titas Gas, the maintenance is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements linked to the Panchabati-Moktarpur Bridge road expansion and the construction of a two-storey roadway. The work includes repairing or replacing damaged pipelines near Panchabati Mor and in front of the main CNG station.
The gas company has assured the public that the suspension is essential to ensure long-term safety and reliability of the network. Customers are advised to plan accordingly and exercise caution during the outage period.

Titas Gas has expressed sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused to customers during this temporary interruption. Residents are urged to ensure that gas appliances are turned off before the scheduled maintenance begins and to refrain from using them until supply resumes.

Authorities emphasised that while the disruption may cause short-term inconvenience, the long-term benefits of safer and more efficient gas distribution will outweigh the temporary disruption.
