Individual Growth and Lessons from Boys II Planet

As VERIVERY approaches their seventh anniversary in January, the group has taken a moment to reflect on the experiences that have shaped both their individual journeys and collective dynamic. Several members recently participated in the competitive survival programme Boys II Planet, while others contributed by observing and supporting from the sidelines.

Dongheon, Gyehyeon, and Kangmin, who competed on the show, shared that the experience offered valuable lessons in self-awareness and personal development. “Competing allowed us to recognise our weaknesses and draw inspiration from others,” Kangmin explained. “Watching the strengths of fellow contestants taught us lessons we could apply both individually and as a team.”

Members who did not participate in the show, Yeonho and Yongseung, also found inspiration by observing their peers. Both expressed that seeing their colleagues’ dedication motivated them to focus on strengthening VERIVERY’s path as a group. “Even from the sidelines, you learn and grow,” Yongseung said. “It encouraged us to support each other more and to think strategically about our future as a team.”

Reflecting on the group’s internal evolution, Dongheon noted the changes in their dynamic over time: “Initially, I would lead discussions and the others would listen. Now, we operate like brothers—understanding each other, supporting one another, and making decisions collectively.” This maturity, he suggested, has helped solidify VERIVERY’s cohesion and creative synergy.
