The operation took place late on Thursday night, 25 December, around 11:30 pm, at Suravi’s residence in the Tekpara area of Gopalpur, under Tongi East Police Station. Tahreema is the daughter of Selim Mia, a resident of the same locality.

According to police sources, Suravi was wanted in connection with a case filed at Kaliakoir Police Station by a youth named Naimur Rahman Durjoy. The complaint accuses her of extortion, abduction for ransom, and blackmail. Law enforcement officials also allege that she frequently posted indecent comments about the army chief on social media platforms.
