North Korea’s supreme leader, Kim Jong Un, has issued a stark warning that his country could completely destroy South Korea if its security is threatened. The statement was reported on Thursday by the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
According to KCNA, Kim outlined his military and policy objectives for the next five years during a recently convened political conference. While his firm stance against South Korea is evident, the possibility of dialogue with the United States has not been entirely ruled out.
