UK electronic pop icons Ladytron have announced their highly anticipated return to North America in 2026, coinciding with the release of their eighth studio album, Paradises. Scheduled for release on 20 March through Nettwerk Records, the album marks a bold creative step for the band, combining rhythmic inventiveness with cinematic, synth-driven textures.
Following the album launch, Ladytron will embark on a short North American tour across five cities in May and June, performing their signature electronic pop repertoire. Fans can expect immersive live shows that showcase both the band’s classic sound and new experimental directions.
The trio—Helen Marnie, Daniel Hunt, and Mira Aroiu—recently unveiled a new single and music video, “Caught in the Blink of an Eye.” Described as a “holiday romance,” the track fuses playful bubblegum-pop hooks with subtly melancholic undertones, gradually transforming into a haunting, seductive sonic landscape. The video, directed by Hunt, was filmed in São Paulo, Brazil, now recognised as a major international nightlife hub.
This single follows the trajectory of the band’s recent standout tracks, including the hypnotic “I Believe in You”, techno-noir “I See Red”, and ethereal duet “Kingdom Undersea.”

Paradises is regarded as Ladytron’s most dance-oriented release since Light & Magic (2002) and a significant creative evolution following Witching Hour (2005). Produced by Daniel Hunt and mixed by Grammy-winning producer Jim Abbiss, the 16-track album weaves together influences such as tech-primitive, high-priestess disco, spectral soul, and Balearic noir. Recording took place across studios in Liverpool, São Paulo, Montrose, Dalston, and London’s Dean Street, reflecting the band’s international perspective.
Helen Marnie said, “From the very first day in the studio, there was an electric energy. The process was effortless, joyous, and invigorating—it truly felt like coming home.” Mira Aroiu added, “We wanted to capture the raw power of the early ’90s wave, when we had nothing to lose.” Daniel Hunt commented, “Even though we started as DJs, we never fully embraced disco—Paradises is that ambition realised. It’s fun, bold, and unmistakably Ladytron.”
With Paradises, Ladytron offers fans a world of luminous synths, rhythmic innovation, and emotional depth, reaffirming their position at the forefront of electronic pop.
