Late Collapse Stuns Inter Miami

Inter Miami suffered a dramatic 4–3 defeat to Orlando City in Major League Soccer at their home venue, the New Stadium, despite holding a 3–0 lead within the first 33 minutes of play. The result marked another setback for Lionel Messi’s side, who were unable to maintain their advantage due to defensive lapses and a second-half turnaround by the visitors.

The match began strongly for Inter Miami, who opened the scoring in the third minute. Yann Fere scored with a header following a cross delivered by Telasco Segovia. Miami doubled their lead in the 25th minute when Segovia finished an attacking move involving a passing exchange between Luis Suárez and Lionel Messi.

In the 33rd minute, Messi extended the lead to 3–0 with a strike from outside the penalty area. This goal marked the 906th of his professional career and his 86th for Inter Miami.

Orlando City responded before half-time. Argentine winger Martín Ojeda reduced the deficit, scoring in the first half to make it 3–1. After the interval, Inter Miami lost control of the match as Orlando increased attacking pressure and exploited defensive weaknesses.

Ojeda scored his second goal in the 68th minute, narrowing the gap further. In the 79th minute, Orlando City were awarded a penalty, which Ojeda converted to complete his hat-trick and level the match at 3–3.

In stoppage time, Orlando City completed the comeback. With Inter Miami pushing forward in search of a winner, space opened in defence, allowing Tayres Spicer to score in the 93rd minute, securing a 4–3 victory for the visitors.
