Man Found Dead in City Hotel

Police in Dhaka have recovered the body of a 38-year-old man, identified as Ashraful, from a residential hotel in the Mahakhali area, prompting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

According to police sources, the incident occurred late on Sunday night, at approximately midnight, in the Amtali এলাকায় of Mahakhali. The body was discovered in Room 20 on the fifth floor of Hotel Jahad after hotel staff grew suspicious and alerted the স্থানীয় থানা. Upon arrival, officers forced entry into the locked room and found Ashraful hanging from the ceiling.

The মৃতদেহ was subsequently taken into police custody, and an initial inquest was conducted at the scene. On Monday morning, it was transferred to the morgue at Dhaka Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Investigators have provisionally suggested that the man may have died by suicide; however, they emphasised that the final determination will depend on the autopsy findings.
