A Bangladeshi activist organisation named Moncho-24 has issued a 24-hour ultimatum demanding the arrest of content creator RS Fahim Chowdhury. The group alleges that Fahim has been directly involved in orchestrating attacks on students and the general public while providing political support to the ruling Awami League.
At a press conference held in Dhaka last Sunday afternoon, Moncho-24’s convenor, Fahim Faruki, formally conveyed the ultimatum to the interim government. Faruki claimed that the authorities have thus far failed to apprehend RS Fahim, blaming certain ‘unscrupulous elements’ within the government for obstructing decisive action.
Faruki further accused RS Fahim of actively patronising student and youth wings of the Awami League, namely Chhatra League and Jubo League. In addition, he levelled serious allegations regarding the provision of women to senior Awami League leaders, describing the matter as both grave and politically significant.
The organisation also issued a stern warning, stating that any attempt by the Awami League to reassert political influence will be met with rigorous resistance from Moncho-24. Faruki emphasised that, should the government fail to act promptly, the group’s members would independently take necessary measures to ensure accountability.
A summary of the ultimatum’s key points is provided below:

Political analysts present at the conference expressed concern that in the current climate of heightened tension, the government’s inaction could further complicate the situation. The social media influence of RS Fahim, along with the reactions of his supporters, is viewed as a potential catalyst for escalating unrest.
Faruki reiterated that Moncho-24 would continue to operate with the highest level of vigilance and readiness, signalling a potentially volatile confrontation if authorities fail to respond within the stipulated timeframe. The ultimatum reflects the organisation’s growing impatience with perceived governmental inefficiency and underscores rising political friction within the country.
