After a relatively subdued concert season in Dhaka, largely influenced by security-related restrictions, the city’s live music scene is steadily regaining momentum. Following the recent Indie Fest, which brought together performers from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan, another significant rock concert is now set to energise the capital.
A large-scale event titled “Rocka Rolla Reforged” is scheduled to take place on 15 May at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB). Organised by Team Alpha, the concert aims to bring together some of the most recognised names in Bangladesh’s contemporary rock landscape for a single evening of live performances.
The event will feature eight Bangladeshi bands and artistes, promising a diverse showcase of rock sub-genres ranging from alternative and hard rock to experimental and fusion-inspired sounds. According to the organisers, the concert is designed to celebrate the resilience and continued relevance of live rock music in the country’s evolving entertainment scene.
The gates will open at 2:00 pm, with the main programme scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm. Advance ticket sales have already commenced through the online ticketing platform Tickify, with organisers reporting a steady and encouraging response from fans.

They emphasise that the event also aims to introduce younger audiences to the intensity and authenticity of live rock performances, which they believe remains an essential part of the country’s musical identity.
With an anticipated audience of nearly 3,000 attendees, the concert is expected to be one of the notable live music events in Dhaka’s current entertainment calendar.
