Standard Chartered has announced an extensive suite of seasonal privileges for clients in the run-up to Ramadan and Eid, positioning the campaign as a targeted response to heightened consumer spending during the holy month. In a formal statement, the bank said the initiative spans dining, retail, travel, groceries, and home improvement, combining upfront discounts, cashback incentives, instalment facilities and digital rewards.
Ramadan traditionally sees a marked increase in household expenditure across food, clothing, travel and charitable giving. Against this backdrop, the bank’s programme seeks to integrate cost savings with digital payment adoption, encouraging customers to use cards, contactless transactions and online banking platforms.

Dining and Hospitality
For the first time, the bank has introduced a “Dine Five, Pay for Four” arrangement at selected five-star hotels, including Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka and Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan. The incentive is designed to stimulate group iftar and sehri gatherings, both family-oriented and corporate.
Cardholders will also receive up to 30 per cent direct discounts at participating restaurants. Selected premium hotels are extending “Buy One Get One” buffet offers, a popular promotion during Ramadan when large-format dining is customary.
Groceries and Iftar Markets
To help manage essential household costs, cashback benefits are available at Unimart on selected grocery purchases. In addition, special dining privileges apply at prominent iftar venues such as Lahore by IKitchen and Khazana.
For online food orders, customers using Foodpanda can access voucher-based discounts, further reinforcing the bank’s push towards digital channels.
Fashion, Jewellery and Grooming
With Eid shopping typically peaking in the final fortnight of Ramadan, the bank is offering up to 50 per cent seasonal discounts across leading fashion houses, jewellery outlets and beauty salons. Notably, shoppers at Yellow can receive 10 per cent cashback, subject to terms and conditions. These offers apply to both in-store and online transactions.
Home Furnishing and Instalment Plans
Recognising the customary pre-Eid home refurbishment trend, the bank is extending zero per cent interest Equated Monthly Instalment (EMI) facilities for up to 36 months on furniture and electronics purchases. According to the bank, the long-tenure instalment structure is intended to ease short-term liquidity pressure while sustaining discretionary consumption.
Travel Incentives
In partnership with ShareTrip and Gozayaan, customers may receive up to 70 per cent off domestic hotel bookings. International airfares are discounted by up to 16 per cent, while domestic flights carry reductions of up to 14 per cent.
