Infrastructure Development in Natore
According to a formal announcement issued on Thursday (14 May) by the Natore Palli Bidyut Samiti-2, a significant portion of the Baraigram Upazila will experience a suspension of electrical services. This disruption is necessitated by the construction of a new 33 kV (kilovolt) transmission line at the Bonpara Grid Substation.
The maintenance work is scheduled to commence at 07:00 and continue until 17:00. The areas affected fall under the jurisdiction of the Baraigram-1 (Bonpara) Substation, specifically involving feeders 1, 4, 6, 7, and 8. The geographical scope of this outage includes partial areas of the Bonpara Municipality and various localities within the Joari Union.
Maintenance Operations in Rajshahi
Simultaneously, the Northern Electricity Supply PLC (NESCO) has declared scheduled power cuts in Rajshahi. The Executive Engineer’s office for Sales and Distribution Division-5 stated that the maintenance is vital for ensuring grid reliability ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.
The primary task involves the pruning of tree branches adjacent to 33 kV and 11 kV high-voltage lines to prevent potential short circuits or disruptions. The Rajshahi outage is scheduled for a duration of six hours, beginning at 08:00 and concluding at 14:00. The affected zones under the Bongram feeder include:
Hajrapukur
Kaliyapara
