Van Passenger Killed in Horrific Truck Collision

A 35-year-old man tragically lost his life in Kahaloo, Bogura, after being run over by an unidentified truck in the early hours of Friday morning. The victim, identified as Anowarul, was a passenger in a charger van at the time of the incident.

According to police and local sources, the accident occurred at approximately 5:30 AM in the Malancha area of Kahaloo Upazila. Anowarul, the son of the late Mohammad Abul Hossain and a resident of Bishaborgacha (Chunagari) village in Malancha Union, was reportedly travelling to Durgapur Bazar in the van to hunt birds.

Eyewitnesses stated that as the vehicle approached the Malancha area, an unidentified truck, travelling from behind, collided with and crushed the van. The force of the impact was fatal, and Anowarul died instantly at the scene. Other passengers in the van were reportedly shaken but escaped serious injury.

Sub-Inspector Jasim of Kahaloo Police Station confirmed the tragic accident, stating that the victim succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision. He added that authorities are currently preparing to file a case against the truck, which remains unidentified at this time.

Local residents expressed their shock and sorrow over the sudden death of Anowarul, describing him as a well-known figure in the community. Many also raised concerns about road safety, particularly on routes frequently used by both heavy vehicles and smaller vans, which are prone to early-morning accidents due to limited visibility.
