A wide-ranging series of musical events has commenced across the United States, Canada, Europe, and other regions to celebrate Eid and to bring greater vibrancy to the entertainment experience of the Bangladeshi diaspora. Leading Bangladeshi bands and solo artists have completed their preparations, with many already embarking on international tours. These extended concert schedules are increasingly seen as a cultural bridge, reconnecting expatriate communities with the musical traditions of their homeland.
One of the most prominent acts, the band Arko, is undertaking a four-month tour across the United States. Their performances are scheduled to begin on 15 June, followed by concerts on 4 and 18 July, 1 and 22 August, and 10 September in multiple American cities. The band’s lead vocalist noted that international touring has become an essential component of sustaining a professional music career in the current global entertainment landscape.
Simultaneously, several other major Bangladeshi bands—including Nagar Baul, Artcell, and Ashes—are also touring the United States. Ashes has already departed for Europe, where they are scheduled to perform in Rome, Venice, and Paris, with their first show set for 16 June.
Renowned singer James is preparing for a European tour in July, beginning in London before moving on to Portugal and Lisbon. A special performance in Lisbon is expected to attract a large Bangladeshi audience. He is also scheduled to perform in Australia later in the year.
Young vocalist Pritom Hasan has already launched his North American tour with a concert in Dallas and will continue performing across various states in the United States as well as in Canada. Meanwhile, singer Saniya Sultana Liza is set to begin her European tour on 22 June in Paris, with subsequent shows planned in Belgium, Switzerland, and Spain.
In addition, Kamrul Zaman Rabbi and Sagar Baul will participate in a special Eid concert in London. Zakia Sultana Kornia is performing multiple shows in Canada, while Pratik Hasan is scheduled to appear in an open-air concert series in the United States. In Australia, celebrated singer Runa Laila will perform two major concerts in Sydney and Melbourne in August, with organisers reporting strong early ticket sales.
Imran Mahmudul will also tour the United States, taking part in several concerts and an awards ceremony, while the band Shironamhin is participating in a New Year festival in Australia. Another band, Shubhojatra, is engaged in a three-month Canadian tour.
