The application process for admission to government, autonomous, and private nursing and midwifery institutions in Bangladesh for the 2025–26 academic session has officially commenced. According to the notification issued by the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC), students can now apply for the following courses:
BSc in Nursing (4-year programme)
Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery (3-year programme)
Diploma in Midwifery (3-year programme, women only)

Application Process
Applications are accepted exclusively online, with the submission deadline set for 31 January 2026 at 11:59 PM. However, applicants may pay the application fee until 1 February 2026. Admission cards will be available for download from 22 to 24 February 2026, and the entrance examination is scheduled for 27 February 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Bangladeshi citizens and must have completed SSC/equivalent (2021–2023) and HSC/equivalent (2023–2025), with a maximum gap of three years between the two examinations.
Reserved seats for male candidates:
Government institutions: up to 15%
Private institutions: up to 20%
The Diploma in Midwifery course is exclusively for female candidates.

Admission Test and Marks Distribution
The entrance exam will be MCQ-based, with 100 marks and a duration of 1 hour 15 minutes.

Selection Procedure
Admissions are based on combined scores of SSC/HSC GPA and MCQ test (maximum 150 marks):
SSC GPA × 5 = 25 marks
HSC GPA × 5 = 25 marks
MCQ = 100 marks
Candidates must score at least 40 marks in the MCQ to be eligible. Selection in government institutions will consider merit and student preference for specific colleges, while private institutions will admit students based on merit as approved by the governing body.

Diploma courses: Tk 500

Note: 1% of seats are reserved for disadvantaged groups; unfilled seats will revert to general merit-based admission.
