Miscreants set fire to the BNP office in Guthia Union of Uzirpur upazila in Barishal. The incident occurred early Thursday (November 13).
Locals said that around 3 a.m., a group of attackers poured petrol on the office, set it ablaze, and fled the scene. Residents rushed to extinguish the fire but failed, as the office and everything inside were completely burnt.
It is suspected that the attack was carried out in the name of enforcing the lockdown program announced by the Awami League.
Uzirpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdus Salam said police have been sent to the spot, and legal action will be taken after investigation.
