A key committee meeting on the use of information technology in national identity cards (NID), voter lists, and election management is scheduled for Sunday at 3:00 pm in the conference hall of the Election Commission building.
The meeting will be chaired by the committee’s president, Election Commissioner Brigadier General Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah (Retd). The information was confirmed through a notice signed by Md. Saiful Islam, Director (Operations) of NID.
Discussion points will include the application process for NID corrections, responsibilities for processing applications, and amendments to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding accountability. Other topics will cover voter registration and NID issuance, registration procedures for Bangladeshi citizens living at home and abroad, and related matters.
