Foreign exchange rates remain a key consideration for remittances, international trade, imports and exports, overseas travel, education expenses and a wide range of cross-border financial transactions. Even a relatively small movement in an exchange rate can make a significant difference when large sums of money are involved.
On Tuesday, 11 August 2026, the listed exchange rates showed notable differences in the value of major international currencies against the Bangladeshi taka. Among the currencies included in the rate list, the Kuwaiti dinar recorded the highest value, while the South Korean won had the lowest value per unit.
The exchange rates were as follows:

| Malaysian ringgit | Tk 30.20 |
| Saudi riyal | Tk 33.00 |

Among selected Middle Eastern currencies, one Saudi riyal was valued at Tk 33, while the Qatari riyal stood at Tk 33.96 and the UAE dirham at Tk 33.65. These rates are especially relevant to Bangladeshi expatriates and families receiving remittances from the Gulf region.

Exchange rates, however, are not fixed. Currency values can change in response to movements in global financial markets, demand and supply, banking transactions and broader economic conditions. Rates offered by individual banks, money exchanges and other financial institutions may therefore differ from the quoted figures and can change during the day.
People planning substantial foreign currency transactions should check the latest applicable rate with the relevant bank or authorised financial institution before completing a transaction.
