Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said that law enforcement agencies have been playing very important and praiseworthy role in maintaining peace and stability of the country. “Huge developments were carried out across the country under the incumbent government tenure,” he said.
The Minister said this at a meeting while inaugurating Jamalpur Recreation Club Limited (JRCL) as the chief guest in Polashgar area under the town this morning.Recalling Bangabandhu’s contribution, Kamal said the month of March is very significant in the country’s history as Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman declared its independence in the early hours of March 26 in 1971.

The month also made the nation proud for the historic 7th March speech of Bangabandhu, he said, adding: “Architect of our independence Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was also born on March 17.” Moreover on the night of March 25 in 1971, Pakistani occupation forces carried out the defamed ‘Operation Searchlight’ on the sleeping Bangalee nation when they became united for establishing their democratic rights, the home minister mentioned.
