He added that advanced technology, IMEI tracking, and inter-district coordination played a crucial role in successfully identifying and recovering the devices. Ensuring public safety remains the police’s primary objective.
Many of the phone owners became emotional upon receiving their devices. Several mentioned that their phones contained important documents, personal photographs, and essential information, and they had been deeply worried after losing them. By recovering the phones, the police not only returned a device but also restored valuable memories and critical data.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Tapas Kumar Pal and other officials emphasized that the district police remain committed to strengthening public service initiatives. Similar recovery operations will continue in the future.
According to conscious members of the community, this initiative demonstrates that the police are not merely enforcers of the law, but responsible partners in safeguarding public trust.
