The Ministry of Public Administration, in coordination with the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) Secretariat, has formally announced the operational guidelines, administrative arrangements, and code of conduct for the upcoming preliminary Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) screening assessment. This recruitment test is specifically organised to fill the vacant positions for the post of ‘Personal Officer’ at the Government Employee Hospital, locally designated as the Sarkari Kormochari Hospital. According to official civil service deployment logs, a total of 3,135 registered candidates have been authorised to participate in this competitive assessment process.

The selection process is structured to recruit qualified personnel into the Tenth Grade rank of the national public sector pay scale. The preliminary screening test is scheduled to take place across the metropolitan area of Dhaka on Thursday, 2 July 2026. The examination is strictly timed to commence at 3:00 pm and will officially conclude at 4:00 pm local time, offering examinees an exact duration of 60 minutes to complete the assigned test paper.
To safely accommodate the entire candidate pool of 3,135 individuals, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat has assigned two independent academic and administrative complexes within the capital city:
Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Government Girls’ High School: Located at the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar institutional enclave, Dhaka.
The Multipurpose Hall: Located inside the main Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat Headquarters at Agargaon, Dhaka.
The preliminary selection matrix is based on a comprehensive evaluation framework totaling 100 marks. The curriculum is distributed evenly across four distinct academic sectors, with each specialized segment carrying an equal weight of 25 marks. The formal breakdown of subjects is detailed below:
Bengali Language and Literature: 25 Marks
English Language and Literature: 25 Marks
Mathematics and Everyday Science: 25 Marks
General Knowledge: 25 Marks (Focusing directly on domestic Bangladesh context and relevant international affairs).
The assessment methodology incorporates a negative marking framework to maintain a strict standard of professional selection. Candidates will receive 1.0 mark for each correctly identified answer. Conversely, a punitive deduction of 0.50 marks will be executed for every incorrect selection recorded on the optical mark recognition sheet.
To prevent malpractice and streamline entry logistics, the Ministry and the Commission have issued an absolute code of conduct that all examinees must follow on the day of the test:
Hall Entry Deadline: Every candidate must enter their assigned examination room by 2:30 pm at the absolute latest. The facility security teams will seal all venue entry points precisely at 2:30 pm. No applicant will be granted entry under any pretext once this deadline has passed.
Admit Card Clearance: Candidates will be categorically barred from taking part in the examination if they fail to present their original, officially issued examination admit card at the verification gates.
Prohibited Possessions: It is strictly forbidden to bring textbooks, reference papers, bags, vanity bags, wallets, and money pouches into the examination halls. Examinees are barred from carrying any mechanical or electronic timekeeping instruments, such as traditional wristwatches, pocket watches, electronic watches, and smartwatches. Communication gear, including cellular telephone handsets, watch-style phones, mobile apparatus, and items of jewellery, are entirely banned. Financial tools, such as bank credit cards, debit cards, or electronic payment cards, along with mathematical calculators and all data storage or transmission devices, are fully prohibited.
Physical Presentation and Attire: Candidates are required to keep their ears entirely uncovered and visible to the invigilation staff during the entire evaluation session. The use of cloth covers, headbands, or bandages over the ears is disallowed.
Calculator Exemption Clause: The standard text on the admit card permitting the use of calculators applies exclusively to the subsequent written examination phase. Calculators are banned during this preliminary MCQ screening test.
Specific administrative provisions have been outlined for candidates with physical or visual impairments who require the professional services of an amanuensis, commonly referred to as a scribe. Eligible candidates seeking this assistance must file a formal written application addressed to the Director, Unit-10, at the central headquarters of the Commission Secretariat in Dhaka.
This documentation must be physically delivered during standard office hours on or before Tuesday, 23 June 2026. The Public Service Commission will assess the submitted applications and directly appoint official scribes to assist authorized candidates on the day of the test.
