Prime Bank PLC, in collaboration with Bangladesh University of Textile (BUTEX) and its Career Club, organised a seminar titled “Financial Inclusion: Engaging & Inspiring Youth in Banking” under its PrimeAcademia initiative, according to a press release.
The seminar focused on enhancing awareness of financial inclusion, developing youth engagement with the banking sector, and promoting essential skills required for modern financial services. It also served as a platform for dialogue between industry professionals and students, aiming to strengthen understanding of career pathways in banking and finance.
The keynote presentation was delivered by Syed Sazzad Haider Chowdhury. He discussed career development approaches, the importance of informed and structured decision-making, and the growing necessity for skills aligned with contemporary industry requirements.
Shaila Abedin addressed the participants on ethical leadership, responsible decision-making, and the expanding role of women in contributing to a more inclusive and future-ready workforce.
M M Mahbub Hasan highlighted the significance of financial literacy and effective money management as foundational competencies for young individuals. He also outlined key milestones achieved by Prime Bank over its 31-year operational history, particularly in advancing financial inclusion initiatives.
The Chief Guest, Professor Dr Md Zulhash Uddin, emphasised the importance of strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and industry stakeholders to better equip students for professional environments. The inaugural address was delivered by Professor Dr Md Mashiur Rahman.
The programme was positioned as part of Prime Bank’s continued efforts under PrimeAcademia to connect academic learning with practical financial knowledge, while also promoting awareness of banking services among students and young professionals.
