Mosharraf, a resident of Hamid Ullah Sikdarpur in Kaiyabil Union, Chokoria, operated a hardware store named Tarin Enterprise in Jiddabazar. According to eyewitness Mohammad Tipu, Mosharraf had just alighted from an e-rickshaw and was walking across the highway towards his shop when another e-rickshaw collided with him. The impact caused severe injuries, and local residents rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
His elder brother, Shawkat Ali, stated that Mosharraf rented a residence in Chokoria town and commuted daily to his business establishment. He was well known in the local community as a hardworking and responsible entrepreneur, respected by both customers and neighbours.
Chiringa Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Ariful Amin, confirmed that the police responded immediately after receiving reports of the accident. However, by the time officers reached the scene, the e-rickshaw involved had fled. The victim’s body was later handed over to his family for burial.
