Imran–Sinthi Shine at TMSS Music Awards Night

The 20th edition of the TMSS Channel i Music Awards was held in a vibrant open-air atmosphere at the Momo Inn Five Star Hotel and Resort in Bogura, drawing some of the most prominent figures from Bangladesh’s contemporary and traditional music scene. The prestigious ceremony took place on Tuesday evening (7 April), reaffirming its status as one of the country’s leading platforms for recognising excellence in music.

The event honoured outstanding artistic contributions released throughout 2024, with particular attention given to music created for television dramas and popular media productions. One of the evening’s major highlights was the joint recognition of acclaimed playback singer Imran Mahmudul and vocalist Sinthi Saha for their performance of the song “Prem Bujhi”, featured in the television drama Tilottoma.

The song was widely praised after its release for its emotional resonance and refined musical arrangement, quickly gaining popularity among audiences. Its creative foundation was shaped by Syed Nafis, who served as lyricist, composer, and arranger. His contribution was widely acknowledged as central to the song’s success.

Expressing his reaction following the announcement, Nafis said he was deeply honoured to receive recognition for his work. Although unable to attend the ceremony in person, he described the award as a moment of immense satisfaction. He also credited the singers and the drama’s director for their collaborative effort, noting that the audience response during the song’s release had been overwhelmingly positive.
