Bangladeshi band Ashes has announced a structured release strategy for its upcoming albums, Bivrom and Danahin Pakhi, confirming that new songs will be published every 15 days until both projects are fully released. The approach marks a departure from traditional full-album launches, reflecting the band’s current distribution plan.
The rollout has already commenced with the release of Feriwala, a track from the album Bivrom. The song, written and composed by vocalist Junayed Evan, has been published on the band’s official YouTube channel. Following its release, the track quickly attracted attention from listeners, generating significant early engagement among the group’s audience.
Initially, the band had announced plans for simultaneous full-album releases. However, they later clarified that releasing complete albums in a single drop is no longer aligned with their current strategy. Instead, they intend to release each song individually at regular intervals, allowing both Bivrom and Danahin Pakhi to be experienced progressively over time.
Drummer Toufique Ahmed Bijoy explained that the band remains actively engaged in continuous music production while responding to evolving listener behaviour. He noted that audience anticipation increased following the announcement of the two albums, which influenced the decision to adopt a 15-day release cycle. According to him, this method will ensure that all songs from both albums are released within the current year.
Album Overview
| Album Title | Content Nature | Release Approach |
|---|---|---|
| Bivrom | Mixed older and recent compositions | 15-day staggered release |
| Danahin Pakhi | Mixed older and recent compositions | 15-day staggered release |
Both albums are described by the band as the outcome of nearly a decade of creative development. The collection includes songs developed at different stages of their musical journey. Several tracks had previously been performed live at concerts and events but are now being officially released as part of studio albums for the first time. The band has also undertaken extensive refinement in terms of lyrics, composition, and arrangement across the project.
Vocalist Junayed Evan has stated that the albums explore themes centred on emotional awareness and the contrast between material and non-material forms of fulfilment. The lyrical direction highlights everyday natural experiences such as observing the sky, moonlight, and rainfall, positioning them as influences on human emotional perception. The songs also incorporate reflections on existential thought and internal psychological conflict.
Alongside their release schedule, Ashes continues to perform live. The band is preparing for an upcoming European tour scheduled for early June, with concerts planned in Rome and Venice in Italy, and Paris in France. A confirmed performance is set for 16 June, while additional dates are expected to be finalised soon. Following the tour, the band plans to return to Bangladesh for further performances and continued recording work, including preparations for future projects beyond the current two albums.
