Europe’s largest music competition, Eurovision 2026, is ramping up, with several countries taking key steps in their national selection processes today. In Greece, the eagerly awaited semi-final two of the “Sing for Greece – Ellinikós Telikós 2026” competition will see fourteen songs unveiled today. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan reaches the deadline for song submissions in its national selection, and Finland’s UMK 2026 competition is set to release its third entry to the public.


Greece Semi-Final Two: Fourteen Songs Revealed

The Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) will broadcast the second semi-final live on ERT1 and ERTFLIX. Each semi-final sees seven songs progress to the national final, where the ultimate winner will be determined by a combination of public and jury votes: 50% public, 25% international jury, and 25% Greek jury.

Azerbaijan: Song Submission Deadline

Today marks the final day for submissions to Azerbaijan’s Eurovision 2026 national selection. Interested artists must submit their entries to song@eurovision.az, adhering to the following requirements:

  • Songs must be in their final version.

  • Entries cannot have been publicly performed or released before 1 September 2025.

  • Each song must not exceed three minutes in duration.


Finland: Third UMK Entry Released

Finland will unveil the third song in its UMK 2026 selection tonight, performed by Komiat, a pop band formed in 2017. Having released two studio albums and earned multiple accolades within Finland’s music scene, Komiat will premiere the track alongside its official music video on the UMK YouTube channel.
