LOS ANGELES, 10 March (Reuters) – The record-breaking animated sensation “KPop Demon Hunters”, Netflix’s most-watched original film, is set to make a spectacular live musical debut at the Oscars. Executive producers and showrunners Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan announced on Tuesday that vocalists EJAE, Rei Ami, and Audrey Nuna will perform the film’s Oscar-nominated track “Golden” during Sunday’s ceremony. The event will be broadcast live on ABC and streamed on Hulu.
The performance promises a fusion of traditional Korean instruments and choreography, paying homage to Korea’s rich cultural heritage—a central inspiration for both the film’s storyline and its music. Representing the film’s fictional K-pop ensemble HUNTR/X, EJAE, Rei Ami, and Audrey Nuna will bring the co-written Oscar-nominated song to life, marking a significant milestone in their careers.
