Local sources stated that a passenger train travelling from Mohanganj in Netrakona district towards Dhaka was passing through the Shambhuganj railway section when the accident took place. The man, estimated to be approximately 47 years old, was reportedly walking along the railway line near Shambhuganj Station at the time.
