Darielton Leads Kings Into Final

Bashundhara Kings secured their place in the Federation Cup final for the sixth time after a commanding 4–0 victory over Brothers Union in the first qualification round at the Kings Arena. Darielton Gomes scored twice as Kings delivered a dominant performance to advance. The club has previously reached the final five times and won the title on four occasions.

In the day’s other fixture, held at Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Cumilla, Mohammedan Sporting Club defeated Rahmatganj 3–0 in an elimination match to secure a place in the second qualifier.

The Federation Cup final is scheduled for 19 May at Kings Arena. Bashundhara Kings will face the winner of the second qualifier. Mohammedan Sporting Club are set to meet Brothers Union on 12 May in that decisive match.

Darielton Gomes continues his prolific scoring run, having netted 15 goals in the Bangladesh Premier League so far. Including his two goals in this match, he now has nine goals in the Federation Cup. Reports also indicated that several Kings players, including Emmanuel Tony, Emmanuel Sunday, and Rafael Augusto, did not feature due to unresolved salary issues.
