The renowned Bangladeshi rock outfit Ashes is preparing to captivate its fanbase this festive season with an ambitious double-album release. Breaking a period of creative anticipation, the band has announced the simultaneous launch of ‘Bibhrom’ (Illusion) and ‘Danahin Pakhi’ (Wingless Bird). This dual musical odyssey represents nearly a decade of artistic evolution, featuring a mix of long-awaited stage classics and brand-new compositions.

A Concept of Immaterial Joy
At the heart of these two albums lies a profound philosophical inquiry. Bandleader and vocalist Zunaid Evan explains that the tracks move away from the “material-based happiness” prevalent in modern, mechanical life. Instead, the lyrics and melodies explore existentialism and the serene joy found in the intangible—the patter of rain, the glow of moonlight, and the sincerity of a human smile.
The release strategy is equally deliberate. On the night of Eid-ul-Fitr (Chand Raat), two lead singles will be unveiled. Subsequently, the band will release one track per week, allowing listeners to digest the intricate layers of each composition.
| Album Title | Number of Tracks | Primary Theme |
| Bibhrom | 9 | Illusion and Internal Conflict |
| Danahin Pakhi | 8 | Freedom and Existentialism |
| Manusher Jonno | 1 (Single) | Humanitarian Aid & Charity |
The ‘Manusher Jonno’ Humanitarian Project
Parallel to their commercial releases, Ashes is furthering its commitment to social responsibility through the ‘Manusher Jonno’ (For the People) project. A new track from this initiative will debut between the releases of the two main albums. In a selfless move, the band members have pledged to forego all royalties and performance fees from this project. Instead, 100% of the proceeds will be directed toward hospital funds to assist patients suffering from cancer, kidney failure, and paralysis.
Beyond the Stage: Mountains and Seas
Ashes is discarding the traditional concert hall format for their upcoming “Listening Parties.” Following the Eid holidays, the band plans to take a select group of fans on excursions to the mountains and the seaside. These intimate gatherings will bypass the barrier between performer and audience, focusing on storytelling and collective singing.
European Tour and Current Line-up
The band’s reach continues to expand globally, with a confirmed European Tour scheduled for May 2026. Fans in Rome, Venice, and Paris will witness the band’s signature high-energy performances. Due to heavy domestic commitments, the tour is currently limited to two weeks, though further international dates are expected later in the year.
Current Line-up:
