A suspected major drug trafficker has been arrested in Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka, following the recovery of approximately 1.25 kilograms of heroin in a late-night operation conducted by the Rapid Action Battalion-4 (RAB-4). According to RAB-4, the operation was carried out at around 11:30 pm on Monday in the Amtola Palowanpara area adjacent to the Birulia Road in West Rajashan, Savar. The arrested individual has been identified as 27-year-old Hridoy Hossain, a resident of West Deogaon village under Savar upazila.
During the raid, law enforcement officers recovered a total of 1 kilogram and 245 grams of heroin from his possession. Authorities have estimated the street value of the seized narcotics at approximately 12.45 million Bangladeshi Taka.
