Mexican authorities have discovered a decomposing male corpse inside the boot of an abandoned sport utility vehicle parked near the Iran national football team’s hotel in Tijuana. Upon opening the vehicle, municipal police officers found the remains concealed within a black plastic bag in the luggage compartment. Representatives from the Tijuana prosecutor’s office informed the news agency AFP that the body bore definitive indicators of physical trauma and violence.

A specialised forensic unit, wearing protective hazardous material suits, subsequently arrived at the supermarket parking lot to conduct a detailed sweep of the vehicle. After compiling the initial post-mortem data, the forensic team transferred the body to local facilities for a formal autopsy.
