Trust Bank Concludes Entrepreneurship Training Program in Saidpur

Trust Bank PLC has successfully finalised the second batch of its month-long Entrepreneurship Development Program in Saidpur, Nilphamari. Operating under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), the initiative reflects the bank’s dedicated efforts to promote sustainable business development and empower local entrepreneurs at the grassroots level.

Strategic Foundation and Implementation

The training initiative was implemented based on a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) executed on 30 April 2025. This formal agreement brought together three key entities: the SICIP Project Implementation Unit, the Small and Medium Enterprise and Special Programmes Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank, and Trust Bank PLC.

The curriculum was specifically designed to provide participants with the comprehensive skills and professional knowledge necessary to create and manage sustainable enterprises. By focusing on industrial competitiveness, the program ensures that new entrepreneurs can navigate the complexities of the modern market while maintaining economic viability.

Details of the Concluding Ceremony

The official closing ceremony for the second batch of the program was held on 4 May 2026. The event took place at the Eque Heritage Hotel and Resort in Saidpur, serving as the final milestone for the month-long training session.

Ms Hosne Ara Shikha, the Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Her participation underscored the importance of the central bank’s supervisory role in nurturing the SME sector. The senior leadership of Trust Bank PLC was also in attendance to facilitate the proceedings and congratulate the graduating entrepreneurs.
