Electricity supply will be suspended for ten hours today, Wednesday 12 November, in various areas of Sylhet due to line maintenance and repair work. The shutdown will take place from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The information was confirmed on Tuesday, 11 November, by Md. Abdur Razzak, Executive Engineer of the Sales and Distribution Division-2 of Sylhet Power Development Board.
According to the official notice, power will be unavailable at the 11 kV Shibganj feeder points including Shibganj, Sonarpāra, Time Square, and at the 11 kV Upashahar feeder areas such as Upashahar Block, Bangladesh Bank Quarters, Block-C, Teratan, Block-J, the Traffic Office, and surrounding localities.
The Power Development Board expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience to consumers. Residents and businesses in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements during this period. The Board emphasised that advance preparation is important, particularly for commercial and daily activities, to minimise disruption.
