A tragic incident in Lalmonirhat’s upazila has claimed the life of an 18-year-old youth following a violent escalation of a long-standing family dispute over a seemingly trivial altercation. The victim, identified as Liakat Ali Laden, was fatally stabbed on Monday evening (8 June) in the Sarapukur Union area.
The attack took place at around 8:00 p.m. beside a shop near Sarapukur Government Primary School. According to local residents and police accounts, the victim was the son of Ashraful Haque from the Balatari area of the same union. He was reportedly ambushed by members of a rival group amid ongoing hostility between two families.
