Despite an improved supply of vegetables in Dhaka’s markets, consumers continue to experience little relief as prices remain largely unchanged across most items. At the same time, the price of onions and eggs has increased, while chicken prices have shown a slight decline. This situation was observed on Friday (15 May) following visits to Karwan Bazar and Agargaon markets in the capital.
Market observations indicate that the prices of most summer vegetables have remained steady compared with the previous week. Traders reported that items such as bitter gourd, okra, pointed gourd, aroid root, yardlong beans, and brinjal continued to be sold within similar price ranges as before.
