In response to these incursions, the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a series of retaliatory counter-attacks against various Israeli military installations. The organisation announced that it launched loitering munitions (suicide drones) targeting Israeli soldiers stationed in the Dovev settlement, as well as a military vehicle in the Misgav Am area. Israeli media outlets subsequently confirmed the Misgav Am incident, reporting that one individual sustained severe injuries following a strike on a vehicle.
Hezbollah further stated that its forces deployed a drone against an Israeli military communications vehicle in the town of Taybeh, and launched rockets at a concentration of troops and military hardware in the Reshaf area. Additionally, the group claimed to have deployed swarms of combat drones west of the village of Arab al-Aramshe in northern Israel and against the Ras al-Naqoura naval base, alongside asserting the total destruction of an ‘Iron Dome’ air defence platform in the Jal al-Alam area.
Concurrently, Israeli health authorities released an update regarding their own casualties since the escalation of hostilities along the Lebanese border. The authorities confirmed that at least 1,043 Israeli military officers and personnel have been injured during this period. Among the wounded, 59 individuals remain in a highly critical condition, while 122 personnel are currently receiving medical treatment for moderate injuries.
