Fahmida Nabi Returns With Two New Original Songs

Veteran Bangladeshi singer Fahmida Nabi is set to make a fresh return to the music scene with two new original songs, adding another chapter to her long and celebrated musical journey. Known for her soulful voice and emotionally rich performances, the acclaimed artiste is preparing to release the tracks in August while also getting ready for a concert tour in the United States.

The two upcoming songs, titled ‘Obhiman Sheshe’ and ‘Janalar Kachhe’, have already created interest among her listeners. Fahmida Nabi said she feels particularly connected to the songs because they reflect her personal emotions and artistic sensibilities. For her, the releases are not merely new additions to her discography but also a continuation of her long-standing relationship with music lovers.

The song ‘Obhiman Sheshe’ features lyrics by Raju Ahmed, with composition by Ehsan Rahi and musical arrangement by Suman Kalyan. The track will be released under the label Shobdo Karigor. The second song, ‘Janalar Kachhe’, has been written by Imon Ahmed, while Kamruzzaman Sujon has composed and arranged the music. Recording for the song has already been completed.

Sharing her thoughts about the new releases, Fahmida Nabi said she had been waiting for songs that would allow her to express herself more deeply as an artiste. She added that completing the two projects has brought her considerable joy and satisfaction, as both songs carry a strong emotional connection for her.

The singer has also spoken openly about the current trend of creating music primarily with the aim of achieving quick popularity. According to her, the growing influence of viral content has changed the way many songs are produced and promoted. However, she believes that a truly meaningful song should not be judged only by its immediate popularity but by its ability to remain memorable among listeners over time.

Fahmida Nabi noted that both production houses and audiences are increasingly drawn towards short-lived viral success. Yet she continues to prioritise meaningful lyrics, strong melodies and quality arrangements in her musical work. While her songs may not always become instant online sensations, she believes that genuine music lovers will continue to appreciate compositions that carry depth and sincerity.

Beyond performing songs written and composed by others, Fahmida Nabi has also been actively involved in creating her own music. She is currently working on several original compositions written and composed by herself, which are now in the arrangement stage. The songs are expected to be released soon through her own YouTube channel.

Her most recent solo track, ‘Kheyali Sur’, was released before the upcoming projects. The song was written by Amirul Islam Arun, while Fuad Naser handled its composition and musical direction. The release has been regarded as another notable contribution to her recent musical activities.

Alongside her new music projects, Fahmida Nabi is also preparing for her upcoming United States concert tour. She is scheduled to leave for the US on 8 August, where she will perform at two live concerts. One event will take place in Virginia on 16 August, followed by another performance in Los Angeles on 29 August.
