A professional development training programme titled “Professional Development Training” has been held in Feni under the initiative of the Feni Sales Team of Sonali Life Insurance PLC. The event took place on 7 May at The Royal Salmon Hotel in Feni, with the objective of enhancing the professional skills of field-level officials and employees, developing leadership qualities, and further strengthening sales activities.
The programme was initiated by the company’s Deputy Managing Director Anwar Hossain. The chief guest at the event was the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mohammad Rofiqul Islam. Special guests included Additional Managing Director Abu Shahadat Dulal and Assistant General Manager Shahadat Majumder.
Officials and staff from various branches in Feni district, including branch managers, unit managers and field-level officers, participated in the training session. The training was conducted by Mofozzel Hossain Manik, Head of the Training and Development Department. He provided practical guidance on modern sales techniques, customer service standards, leadership development, and professional excellence.
Speakers stated: “সোনালী লাইফ শুধু একটি বীমা প্রতিষ্ঠান নয়, এটি মানুষের আর্থিক নিরাপত্তা ও ভবিষ্যৎ সুরক্ষার একটি নির্ভরযোগ্য অঙ্গীকার। দক্ষ মানবসম্পদ তৈরির মাধ্যমে প্রতিষ্ঠানটি দেশের বীমা খাতে ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তন আনতে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে।‘”
It was also noted that Sonali Life Insurance PLC operates a total of 256 branch offices across the country, of which 10 are located in Feni district. This network reflects the company’s operational presence in the region.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Rofiqul Islam stated that the Feni territory is a highly potential area for Sonali Life. He noted that the dedication of officials and employees, along with their customer-oriented activities, has contributed to the company’s continued performance. He further stated that such skill-development training initiatives will play an important role in building stronger teams in the future.
He further provided financial performance data, stating that in 2025, the total premium income generated from the Feni territory exceeded BDT 6.6 billion, while insurance claims paid from the same territory exceeded BDT 5.4 billion. He also mentioned that across the country in 2025, the company paid over BDT 40.5 billion in insurance claims.
