The spokesperson for the Iranian armed forces, Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, has stated that during the period in which alleged aggressions by the United States and Israel have been halted, Iran’s military has updated and further developed its database of targets, while also improving the quality and capability of its military equipment.
Speaking during a televised programme on Tuesday, the military spokesperson said that Iran remains in a state of full military readiness. He emphasised that the armed forces do not consider the present conflict to be concluded.
Brigadier General Akraminia explained that since the onset of hostilities, whenever fighting has paused or a ceasefire has come into effect, the armed forces have continued to operate on the basis of distrust towards the opposing side. As a result, they have consistently undertaken processes to update target information, complete target lists, maintain ongoing training, and apply lessons learned from wartime experience.
He further stated that these activities have been carried out in a continuous manner during periods of reduced hostilities, with particular focus placed on refining operational data and ensuring that military preparedness remains uninterrupted. According to him, the armed forces have treated such intervals not as a cessation of activity, but as part of an ongoing cycle of preparedness and evaluation.
The spokesperson also noted that Iran’s military has been engaged in both the production and improvement of military equipment. He added that these efforts have been carried out simultaneously, with the aim of enhancing overall capability and ensuring that operational requirements are met under changing conditions. He indicated that, as a result of these ongoing measures, the broader security situation for Iran continues to resemble a wartime posture.
In addition, Brigadier General Akraminia stated that surveillance, monitoring, and equipment deployment activities within the armed forces have continued without interruption. He underlined that these functions remain active at all times, contributing to sustained operational readiness.
He concluded by asserting that in the event of any renewed aggression, opposing forces would face what he described as newly developed military equipment, updated operational strategies, and engagement in different operational environments shaped by evolving preparedness measures.
The key points of the statement are summarised in the table below:
