CMA Fest 2026 Lights Up Nashville

CMA Fest 2026 once again transformed Nashville into the beating heart of country music, as the four-day festival held from 4–7 June turned the city’s downtown area into an expansive open-air celebration of sound, storytelling and emerging talent. Across five major outdoor stages, more than a hundred performances unfolded, offering both newcomers and rising artists an invaluable opportunity to perform before large, diverse audiences.

A defining feature of this year’s festival was its free concert programme, which attracted thousands of attendees without requiring tickets. From the banks of the Cumberland River to the busiest downtown streets, music flowed continuously throughout the day, blending traditional country influences with experimental collaborations and genre-crossing performances.

The opening day generated significant buzz when Bryan Andrews delivered a headline performance that included a surprise on-stage appearance by a political figure during one of his most talked-about songs, sparking strong audience reactions. On the same day, Julia Cole and Alexandra Kerr captivated crowds with emotionally driven duets centred on themes of love and relationships, setting a reflective yet engaging tone for the festival’s beginning.

The second day shifted focus towards energetic and diverse performances. Kevin Powers delivered a high-impact set featuring some of his most popular tracks, energising the main stage audience. Meanwhile, emerging duo Stella Lefty and Vincent Mason drew considerable attention along the riverside stages with their harmonically rich collaboration. Angie K stood out for her bilingual performance, which highlighted cultural diversity and became one of the most discussed moments of the day.

Female artists played a particularly prominent role throughout the festival.
