Technical requirements include a shorthand speed of 70 words per minute (wpm) in English and 45 wpm in Bengali, alongside a typing speed of 30 wpm in English and 25 wpm in Bengali.
Computer Operator (Grade 13): This category contains 2 vacancies. Applicants are required to have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) honours or equivalent degree. They must also demonstrate a typing speed of 30 wpm in English and 25 wpm in Bengali, and successfully clear a departmental Standard Aptitude Test.
Office Assistant-cum-Computer Typist (Grade 16): There are 9 openings for this role. Eligible applicants must possess a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent qualification from a recognized education board, have undergone computer training, and maintain a typing speed of at least 20 wpm in both English and Bengali.
Office Assistant (Office Sohayok – Grade 20): This support cadre has 16 vacancies. The minimum academic prerequisite is a Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or an equivalent certificate from a recognized board.

Age Parameters and Tariff Structure
The operational age bracket for general candidates is fixed between 18 and 32 years as of 1 May 2026. However, a statutory relaxation is granted to departmental candidates applying for the posts of Shorthand Typist-cum-Computer Operator (Post 1) and Office Assistant-cum-Computer Typist (Post 3), whose upper age limit may be extended up to 40 years.
The non-refundable application and processing fees are structured as follows:
Grades 13 and 16 (Posts 1 to 3): 112 BDT, inclusive of all integrated service charges.
Grade 20 (Post 4): 56 BDT, inclusive of all system service charges.
Concessionary Tariff: A uniform fee of 56 BDT (including service charges) applies across all grades for applicants belonging to disadvantaged or minoritized groups, specifically ethnic minorities, physically disabled persons, and transgender candidates.
The intake system began accepting registrations at 10:00 on 19 May 2026. The ministry will shut down the online application portal and fee-payment gateway precisely at 17:00 on 8 June 2026, after which no further entries will be entertained.
